Why Can't I add Labor to my Job ?

There are 2 main reasons why you might not be able to add labor. 

1) Auto Calcualte Hours from Parts is set to "ON". The AutoCalculate Hours Function will calculate your labor based on hours already associated to individual parts. Labor can be added to parts from within the System administrator panel, or be brought over from your accounting system. You can still add or subtract labor on a job by going to: the "Add Qty" Column and enter a value.

You can turn this feature off for a specific job by selecting the Icon indicated below.

To remove this default completely from your account, please contact your system administrator. 

2) The second reason why labor might be disabled on your system is if the "Sales Type" selected is = "Box Sale" . This selection is normally made during the initial job creation screen, but can also be accessed within the Estimate Screen, in the "Status" tab:
