How To Add A New Labor Category in QuoteAnywhere

Learn how to properly configure a new labor category within QuoteAnywhere settings. This guide walks you through the necessary accounting, tax, and calculation setup to ensure your labor data integrates seamlessly with QuoteAnywhere.

1. Click "Admin"

2. Click "Editors"

3. Click on "Labor" and then "New Item" to create a new labor category.

4. Fill in the required fields for a New Labor Category. Select Direct Entry or % of.

5. Use the dropdown to set the Tax Configuration, Use, Retail, or Non-taxable.

6. Use the Accounting Link to map the labor category if applicable.

7. If applicable, Click on the Add Labor Type. 
Note: Labor Type can be used to have a different rates for the same type of labor. For example Labor Category: Project Manager. You could use Labor Type to allow this standard rate to have a holiday pay rate, overtime rate, weekend rate, etc.

8. Click "Save" once the Labor Category is created.
